Working Finally!!!

After much much patience, my paperwork was finally approved by corporate and was able to finally start work on Tues. So i am now officially a Personal Trainer for Bally Total Fitness. The gym is about 15 away from my house and has a pretty view of Santa Catalina Mts behind it. I'm usually at work by 8am then leave around 8pm, so my days are SOO long and tiring. Every new trainer has to start off w/long hours until you are able to build a good list of clints. Once you do then you only have to show up just to train those clients. I know most people have to start at the bottom and work there way up. So i'm just having to be very very patient and give it time, and that's the hardest for me to deal with. Everyone there is really cool so far. From i hear my gym is one of the best gyms to work for here in Tucson. There are more male trainers than females. I'm the youngest trainer there. All the ages start from me and go up to 50. One thing that has impressed everyone so far and am proud about is that i am the only trainer that i know of that has my college degree in Exercise Science or at least a fitness degree. Everyone else has a degree in something completely opposite of their current job. So the only thing we all have in common is that we all hold a national personal trainer certifcation of some sort, but not all of us have the same certifications. My trained my first client and showed off my skills on friday. I got him sweating, working really hard, and feeling THAT BURN (jokingly i told him i was doing my job if he felt that)! The moment that just made me actually love what i do and that college wasn't a waste of time, is when he asked me some questions about some questions that i specifically remembering studying and reading in college. I knew what i was talking about, and he knew i knew my stuff and trusted what i said. So i'm hoping my confidence and knowledge should only get better w/each person i train.
