Black and white wedding

Lately, i havn't been having very exciting weekends, so haven't had anything exciting or new to post. Guess i can't have an exciting weekend all the time. On Saturday, my friend Wanjiru's brother-in-law's daughter was getting married. The wedding was in black in white, so they requested people to wear those colors. But not everyone was dressed that way. I've never heard of a wedding where the specified the dress before. It was a pretty wedding. It was outdoors at this ranch called "The Wild Horse Ranch". It was a good 45min drive from the house. Still in the same city though. Back home that distance would put in another town. It was just literally on the other side of town, out in the desert. The history of the location is that it's a cute and quiant guest ranch, of a family from back in the day. That is now haunted they say, people said that doors will shut and open mysteriously all the time. It was a really nice place and relaxful place, a good place for a wedding.

Above: this is my new outfit i bought, for the wedding. i haven't bought myself anything nice since my b-day, so the wedding was the perfect reason too.


Above: we were served cocktails and hors d'oeuvres before the dinner. We had some fancy stuffed mini mushrooms, fancy crackers w/stuff on top, and this thing i'm eating above, forgot the name. But is has salad on the bottom, then mini shrimps, cucumber, onions, and some type of a vinagerette dressing. It was HMMM good!!
Above: there were waitresses going around w/drinks, or you could special order drink at the inside bar. the funnies thing about the wedding is that the tv's were on. I saw at least two. I know no one at back home really follows basketball. But in case you didn't know, the NCAA final four match was last night. Most NCAA fans, can't dare miss such a game of course. And of course i saw all the men herded around the tv w/their drinks. But it was just during the cocktails were being served though. Once we were served dinner, no one was by the tv then.

Above: we were served dinner, that too was HMM good!! we had choice between chicken, veal, fish, or vegan. Served w/ salad, steamed green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls, fruit, any drinks you wanted. Then right before the cake we had either champagne or sparkling cider to toast w/once people made speeches. Once the sun went down, it was a bit chilly, but if you had a jacket it was nice weather.
