Biking to Mt. Lemon

On Sunday me and some friends went up to Mt.Lemon for a nice bike ride and lunch. It was my friend travis, me, elliot and his girl robin (she flew in from California for the weekend), kevin, kim and her daughter. kim doesn't like to ride bikes, so she and her daugher followed us up in her car. Riding up the moutain is definitely more fun on a bike than in a car. With all the gear we we're wearing it was really hot down in tucson, but on top of the moutain it was perfect, bout 70 degrees or so. We saw lots of hikers, tons of bikers, and just families hanging out. We had a good time, was a great experience. Don't worry mom and dad, i know riding a bike is completely the safest, but travis has been riding a bike for long time. he's very experienced and we definitely wore all the proper gear, especially a helmet. we were careful.

Above: just the few times i've been to Mt.Lemon i've never seen a rock climber, i finally did. thought it wuz cool so just had to take a pic of it.



Above: these are log cabins you can either buy or rent to stay in during the summer or winter for when there's snow up there. Just from the last time i was up, the number of cabins of increased a lot, so apparently a lot of people are wanting a cabin up there


Above: we ate at this nice restaurant up at the mountain called the Cookie Shop. They have really good cookies that are the size of a plate and good chili. i had pizza instead that was good.


Above: elliot and went to Texas roadhouse and saw a balloon maker there. Elliot had never seen a balloon make before. he was so amazed, it cracked me up. i told him he must have been deprived as a child. so he had the guy make him a motorcycle that elliot was so excited about!!
