Little Bit of Korean,American, Hawaiian

On Saturday of Labor Day weekend, me and my friend Travis went to one of his friends wedding. It was quite a diverse wedding. It had some Korean, American, and Hawaiian culture all mixed together. It was fun!! The bride Sarah is half Korean and American, and Groom Kahe is originally from Hawaii. The wedding was down in Sierre Vista, small town about 1 1/2 east of Tucson. It's always usually a good 15degrees cooler than tucson, so the weather was perfect the day of the wedding. The wedding was just at a church and the reception was at a nice hotel. We had everything from appetizers to a full dinner served. Some of the food was from all the different cultures of course. But the most interesting part of the wedding was the end of the ceremony. As you know at the end of most wedding, the preacher will announce the new couple. Well, this time the groom's brother announced the new couple. Here's the reason why the groom Kahe is actually short for his long long long last name., the longest last name i've ever seen. His first name is Jonathan, but no one ever calls him that. So here is the groom's actual last name, be sure to take a deep breath in when getting ready to say it: Kahekilipamekalapauila.....Wheww!! did you get all that. So now you know why the preacher didn't even wanna try saying it.

Above: Sierra Vista is quite different than Tucson. Besides the temp being cooler, it's GREEN!! You actually see lots and lots of grass. You forget how much you miss seeing grass when u live in Tucson.
