Xmas party at the famous "Old Tucson"

My good friend Elliot works for the Catapillar Company here. His work always rents out the Old Tucson Studios for their xmas party. When i first moved here, i had read about his place, but just never went. Old Tucson is the "Hollywood"of the Southwest. It is where many many famous western movies and actors have walked the streets, and still make Hollywood movies at. Not at all a western fan of movies, but it was really cool knowing that John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Paul Newman, etc have walked the exact places i got to walk. Old Tucson used to be the original downtown of Tucson back in the day, but in 1939, some guy i guy i don't remember his name, bought out the area and refurbished it to make it a movie set. So right now besides it still being used to movie making, it's a tourist area. As your walking down these western town, it definitely looks looks like back in Western days. As a tourist, you can tour the studio, see shows, take a horse ride in the desert, and see pictures and items from the many famous western actors. Just to name some of the famous movies made in Old Tucson: "The Alamo" w/John Wayne, "Bonanza" i believe w/Lucille Ball, Little House on the Prairie, and many others i can't remember reading about. Old Tucson is about 40mins from my place, I live on the East side of town, and it's way way on the West side of town, literally out in the middle of no where. I wish i could've seen it during the day, because it's so secluded, i'm sure it's very beautiful in the day w/the moutains and desert life, definitely nothing city like close to it. When first arriving to Old Tucson, we were greeted by actors dressed up in all the western clothes, then walked down to the tavern to have a catered dinner, drinks, and entertainment. For entertainment, they put on a little show w/girls dressed up as saloon girls singing and dancing to how they did back in the day. Then they would pull people from the audience to dance w/me, or be in the skit. It was a lot of fun, and cool to finally see the "Hollywood" of the Southwest, glad i went.
