Catepillar Tour

Two of my best friends here in Tucson work a leading company in the world for construction equipment. The Cat company in Tucson, is one the first Cat company's to test out new equipment for the company. My friend Elliot is a mechanical engineer and my friend Travis is an operator. The Cat company is located down in Green Valley literally out in the middle of no where, the company sets on over 100 acres of land. The company is only about 14 miles from the Mexican border, i was able to take a pic of the Nogales, Mexico from a distant. There isn't a fence or wall separating Mexico from their company's property lines. Elliot and Travis told me that they've seen their share of plenty of illegal immigrants roaming at their company property. Even though i'm not into the whole construction thing, it was a place to visit. I got see and experience up close some of the top of the line equipment. The guys told me it's not everyday someone gets to tour cat and see what they do and ride in the equipment.Their were even some things, i wasn't able to take pics of, because it hasn't been released to the public. They can't take a chance on some photo leaking out to a competitor or get into the wrong hands.

Above: this one of the testing area's on the Cat site

Above: the area right below the moutains in the way back is Nogales, Mexico

Above: this Elliots project, on a daily basis he is running test for this one
